AMPA members Washington Avila and myself have just finished our formation endorsements under the excellent tutelage of Trevor Jones at RACWA. We haven't stopped smiling since. It's brilliant and the first solo formation sortie is almost as thrilling as the first solo (for me, many years ago). As well as re-engaging all the basic flying skills (especially those involving the feet!) that can gradually become secondary to flight management and comms issues in busy Jandakot airspace, it opens up wonderful photo opportunities - see below for evidence of that! AMPA members Kevin Lewis (hot-shot photographer) and SJT's other owner, Rowan Hill, are both currently completing their formation endorsements also. A four ship Mooney formation is on the way!
